"Finding virtual work that values you for your worth and compensates you accordingly is usually incredibly rare, but Instant Teams makes it easy."

When I first heard of Instant Teams (previously known as MadSkills), I was both inspired and grateful. It is simply incredible to have two military spouses leveraging their experiences and frustrations of military spouse unemployment in order to help the greater good. I knew immediately that this company was not only one I’d love to support, but one that I would use to try and find work.

my success story on a virtual teamI never thought of being a military spouse as a disadvantage in employment, until I experienced it first-hand. After sending out dozens and dozens of resumes in Guam, I finally got a call for an interview. The position was perfect for me, and I knew with my knowledge, skills and abilities, I was perfect for the job. I got a call the next day, and the interviewer and I excitedly discussed my experience. When he asked me what brought me to Guam, I didn’t hesitate telling him that my husband was in the Navy. After all, wouldn’t that make me more competitive? Wouldn’t being married to a service member demonstrate my loyalty, flexibility and resilience that we know is prevalent in this community? Instead, he got off the phone quickly and told me they’d let me know. I didn’t hear from him again.

My story is not unique in the military spouse community, and it’s why a company with values and a mission like Instant Teams is all the more important. I used Instant Teams to obtain two contracts. Working with them is intuitive, fun and exciting. Finding a virtual work that values you for your worth and compensates you accordingly is usually incredibly rare, but Instant Teams makes it easy. I can’t recommend Instant Teams enough to other military spouses, and I also want to strongly encourage companies to use Instant Teams to hire talented spouses for their virtual teams.”
